Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) invites application from eligible candidates for recruitment of 500 nos of Assistant Section Officer in Group - B of Odisha Secretariat Service under Home Department in the scale of pay of Rs.35,400/- in Level 9. OPSC ASO Selection Process:-

1. The Examination will be conducted in the following successive stages:-

1. Written Examination, (Objective Type - Multiple Choice Questions)
2. Skill Test in Computer (Practical)

2. Only those candidates who have been short listed after the written test shall be called for the Skill Test in Computer (Practical) by the Commission as provided in Appendix - I which shall be of qualifying nature. One has to secure at least forty percent of the total marks in the Skill Test to qualify it.

3. The Commission shall be competent to fix up the qualifying marks in any or all the subjects of the examination.

Important Points for SC/ST/SEBC Candidates:-

Candidates claiming to be belonging to SC/ST/SEBC Category by Birth are required to submit copy of the relevant Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed form. Candidates of SEBC category (Other than Creamy Layer) must submit copy of Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority within the last three years from the date of advertisement in the prescribed form.

Note: OBC Certificate will Not be Accepted in Lieu of SEBC Certificate.
